Science Finally Explains Slackers
Neurologists at Oxford University used decision-making paradigms to explore the neural correlates of apathy and laziness. They found that those with increased apathy had greater neural activity when the decision required effort, which they propose may be due to the fact that the apathetic need more energy to carry through with the action.
